Atempo Introduces Archive Server To Enterprises

PALO ALTO, CA -- Storage company Atempo announced the commercial availability of its first enterprise archiving platform.

Atempo Archive Server (AAS) is a file-based archiving platform designed to optimize the archiving and retrieval process for business-critical files, directories and unstructured data types.

"The archiving market category is the fastest growing segment in the storage management software market," said Laura DuBoi, research director, storage software, IDC.  "In fact, IDC predicts that the archiving and HSM market will grow from a little more than $600 million in 2005 to $1.7 billion in 2010."
